Swellendam is the third oldest settlement in South Africa, founded by the Dutch East India Company in the year 1745. A town is famous for its architecture, history, and sites. Well worth a visit.
Marloth Nature Reserve is hidden away in the imposing Swellendam Mountains, between Swellendam, Ashton, Barrydale and Suurbraak. Marloth offers various day trails, ranging from easy, short walks to more strenuous, longer hikes.
